What this is
End-to-end support to license a Georgia Private Home Care Provider (PHCP), regulated by the Department of Community Health (DCH), Healthcare Facility Regulation Division (HFRD) (Rule 111-8-65). A PHCP licence covers nursing services, personal care/ADL tasks, and companion/sitter services. No Certificate of Need is required — this is the practical, non-medical way into Georgia.
What’s included
- PHCP application via GAHLES — Georgia’s licensing portal — prepared end to end.
- Governance & administrator — the required governing body and a qualified Administrator with health-field management experience.
- Georgia’s higher non-medical bar handled: liability insurance of $1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate, GCIC + FBI fingerprint background checks for the Administrator and owners holding 10%+, and bonding for staff with access to client funds.
- Policies & procedures built to Georgia standards, including quarterly supervisory home-visit schedules and record retention.
How it works
- Kick-off call to confirm service categories and ownership.
- We prepare your application and policies.
- You review; we refine until it is right.
- We guide your GAHLES submission and stay with you through to approval.
Indicative timeline: roughly 60–90 days of HFRD processing once your file is complete (often longer end-to-end). Fees and timelines change, so we confirm current figures with DCH/HFRD as part of your project.
Ideal for
New non-medical home care providers in Georgia who need to clear the state’s relatively high insurance and fingerprinting bar correctly the first time.
