Ohio Home Health Launch & Medicare Certification: Fixed-Price Application Support

$2,495.00

Launch home health in Ohio. ODH now licenses both skilled and non-medical home health, and there’s no CON for home health. We handle the ODH license and Medicare certification, fully online.

About the Ohio home health agency license

End-to-end support for an Ohio home health agency license and Medicare certification. Important and often missed: under Ohio’s 2021 licensing law (ORC Chapter 3740), the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licenses home health, both skilled and non-medical. Skilled, Medicare-billing care then runs through Medicare certification layered on top of that license. Certificate of Need does not apply to home health in Ohio (only nursing-home beds).

What’s included in your Ohio home health agency package

  • ODH home health license application (a $250 nonrefundable fee) for skilled or non-medical services, filed with the ODH Bureau of Regulatory Operations.
  • Surety bond & structure guidance: new skilled applicants need a $50,000 surety bond and new non-medical-only applicants a $20,000 bond. For a non-medical license, the primary owner also gives ODH a fingerprint impression card.
  • Medicare certification support for skilled agencies: CMS-855A and accreditation deeming (CHAP, ACHC or Joint Commission).
  • Policies & procedures built to Ohio standards and the federal Conditions of Participation, with Administrator/RN qualifications and QAPI.

How it works

  1. Kick-off call to confirm skilled vs non-medical and your timeline.
  2. We prepare your Ohio home health license and certification package.
  3. You review; we refine until it is right.
  4. We guide submission and stay with you through to approval.

Indicative timeline: allow roughly 60 to 90 days for the Ohio home health agency license once your application is complete. Medicare certification adds several months for skilled agencies, but there is no CON delay.

Ohio home health agencies also face extra Medicare claim review under the Review Choice Demonstration. In addition, new Medicare enrollment is paused nationwide until at least November 2026, so clean compliance and readiness matter more than ever. Fees and timelines change, so we confirm current figures with ODH and CMS as part of your project.
